This is Interesting: National Economic Accounts for Countries and Regions around the World!
This is interesting! I wish I could find the cost of living differences as well. I pull in $30,000 after taxes and with taxes, I would say $36,000? Maybe a little more. However, the cost of living here in California is insane! My rent alone is 1050 and the manager told me it is going to go up once my lease expires in a month. She mentioned that it would go up from $50 to $100. That will definitely do some damage. However, I decided to focus my attention on being in Management. I see a need for people like myself to become a Manager and help others. I cannot be a teacher, but I can be a good Manager. Thoughts everyone?

from the first link:
Purchasing Power Parity
is a method of measuring the relative purchasing power of different countries currencies over the same types of goods and services, despite differential rates of inflation. PPP allows to make more accurate comparisons of standards of living across countries, because goods and services may cost more in one country than in another.
Please note, these are somewhat out of date figures (2007). Due to the financial crisis and its aftermath, a number of the wealthier countries (Spain, Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Iceland, UK, US and others) would have slipped down the list.
Most Westerners say how cheap it is to live in Bangkok (or Thailand in general). Yes, it can be, if you want to significantly lower your living standard. The amount that I was paying for a 3 bedroom condo in Bangkok was about what you would pay in many areas in the States, but while fairly nice, it was simply not at the same standard.
