I remember seeing I think a week ago a thread inquiring about apps on Buddhism. Here I would like to recommend some free Buddhist apps I've found:

Dharma Seed: With this app wherever you have wifi you can listen to dharma talks by various teachers such as Munindra Ji and Achaan Chah.
iDharmaBook: This app provides you with Buddhist literature such as "Transforming Our Daily Activities" by Ven Thubten Chodron.
iDharma: This app contains the "Paritta Sutta", "Dhammapada", "Vajra Prajna Paramita Sutra", "Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra", and the "Satipatthana Sutta".
"Buddha Vacana": This app provides you with daily teachings to reflect on.
"The Dhamma" : Full title is The Dhamma Short Course".This is a book on the Dhamma by Bhikkhu P.A. Payutto
SBMMetta: This app contains talks by Ven Mahinda on the practice of Metta
P.A. Payutto: This app contains a book titled "A Life that Tells How to Live" by Bhikkhu P.A Payutto

I'm going to stick with my books - they don't have batteries to run out, or software to update or convoluted instructions.. :p
