  • Yes, I recently discovered the Buddhist flag when I was shopping around online for malas and prayer flags. :D I plan on getting one in the spring and hanging it outside my front porch area much like other people hang those "Welcome Spring!" and holiday type flags.

i've seen the flag used a lot at theravada monasteries, especially on Vesak... I don't really see a need for one and it doesn't really appeal to me in any ways.. but I've never been the flag waving type.

I wanted to get one, but then my gay friends said "wow cool, Buddhism must support gay people, that's just like the gay pride flag." And while I support my LGBT friends, I don't want to be flying a flag at my house that might be a target of hate.
