Being involved with radical politics just left me angry and drained most of the time. After being involved with radical left groups both online and in real life, it became very apparent that the whole "building a united left smashing the bourgeoisie and creating an egalitarian society" thing was pretty much a pipe dream. There was/is hardly anything close to a "united left." I'm not really involved or interested in politics much anymore.
Nowadays, I think I would still be fairly "left-wing" compared to most people but my views really depend on the issue at hand. I guess "Democratic Socialist" would be the best pigeon-hole to be put into for me.
