How fortunate. How can you transfer your obsessive thinking to the dharma?
Do you meditate obsessively? Can you fill your mind with a mantra when the obsessive mind arises?

The mind is plastic, in two months of regular practice you can be calmer and less obsessive.

    Yes, what lobster said.

Buddhism is about transforming something negative into something positive (I think). Me? I'm an alcoholic and I was shown how to transform that into compassion (helping other alcoholics recover); ruddy amazing stuff.

  • Earnest practice will develop good blessing and wisdom, as the adage goes, a metal piece can be filed into needle in a matter of patient and tolerance. It triggers vow of enlightened one that inherently yours. As enlightened one has attained and one has yet to attain, the attained will "protect" the practitioner because their vow is universal self. It is not that the inherent vow does not protect other and not compassionate, it is because there is no effect for those that dont believe in it. The protect will cease to perform once the earnestly achieved to become the ultimate one. May all enjoy wonderful and awesomic path of indestructable peace :D
