After re-reading the Jonathan Livingston Seagull I saw a bird yesterday around dusk that seemed to be just flying around without any kind of direction or purpose. Do you think birds ever fly around for fun and not to simply look for food or something mundane like that?

I also wonder if animals experience annoyance, lol. When snow falls off the trees and lands on them, do they get annoyed like I do? Do they dislike high humidity on hot days? or do they only seek relief for survival reasons?
Bears are pretty fascinating to study. They have some very human-like qualities in how they care for young and such. They definitely do things just for fun. So I imagine other animals do as well.
I see, for example, bears in the woods who are covered in ticks. Sometimes they have hundreds of them. Is that annoying to them? or don't they "bother" to get annoyed because they can't do anything about it? Do the deer get annoyed by the flies? Or is them flipping their ears and tails just a natural response? Do they say "OMG. Horseflies SUCK" to their friends?
