    I'm not aware of any true correspondence courses that I would recommend. But Buddhanet has a TON of educational resources. Here is the link for their section on Buddhist Studies: http://www.buddhanet.net/e-learning/index.htm

    Lama Shenpen's course Discovering the Heart of Buddhism

    It costs some money though. I'm taking it and it is excellent. Her sangha is called the awakened heart sangha. With any luck on google you can turn up their Buddhist website 'Buddhism Connect'.
