What attachment is and is not. What equanimity is and is not.

Attachment in Buddhist terms is not identifying something outside of ourselves and then by an act of will struggling against it.
Attachment in Buddhist terms is seeing ourselves as a solid and permanent entity who defines themselves by things external to themselves..whatever those things might be .
Equanimity in Buddhist terms is not indifference to all things equally.
Its seeing that all things are changing and that all attachment will pass.
Its avoiding clinging and avoiding aversion....both.
