    The song is trite but the sentiment has value. I know from my own experience that we can be very busy in life and in our life as practice. A friend of mine can not be on his own, in an empty quiet house . . . Turns on TV, finds things to do. He works hard and can not slow down.

    In the spiritual realm, the ability to slow down our incessant need for stimulation, progress, insight and purpose is one of our main obstacles. We often try too hard.

    Gently does it.
