stanford.edu entry for Japanese Zen Buddhism

I thought some might find this useful, as I did: http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/japanese-zen/

I never really "got" Zen, until I read that. Strangely, the entire article concedes that Zen cannot be "got" from reading, or using either-or (standard philisophical) logic.

Its definitely a hard read. Meditation is a much easier path, but sometimes I feel like academics do have their place :)

Getting Zen is losing the identity that thinks there is something to get.

A good Zen academic is just a finger pointing at a Zafu.
