Some of the Chinese monks I've come across sermonizing online do give me the impression that they have big egos. They seem to want to tell the whole world that they can provide all answers to all problems because they know Buddhism in-depth.They ask people to post whatever questions they have about life, and I have never heard the answer"Sorry,I do not know the answer to your question".
I have a Buddhist friend who also seems to have a ego the size of the universe, maybe because he feels that he has become superior to all after having read all the Buddhist texts regarding egolessness.
What a paradox!
