I further question the inclusion of 'Misogynist'..... Or maybe you did that to flag my attention....
That is my honest impression from sutras and known behaviour, the cultural norm of the time. I could be mistaken. The ideal idolised Buddha is no doubt a paragon of virtue, the Mary Poppins of Dharma . . .
Oh the humility!
However it could all be the result of the misogynistic dominated infrastructure that grew up around the Buddha?
Or maybe the awake really are 'practically perfect in almost every way' . . .
Be glad for some clearing thinking Tara Buddha to put this baby to rest . . .
