Lamdre practices

Has anyone got experience of Lamdre practice within the context of Sakyu? I'm interested in the 'path and the fruit' teachings, and it appears to me, after an initial study, that Lamdre is a complete practice in itself. Any information, anecdotes, experiences etc gratefully received. Happy new year to you all, Sangha friends.

An extract from the Wiki article:

"In the lamdré tradition, the instructions for mediation are passed orally from mentor to student. As with all tantric Buddhist lineages, in the lamdré tradition, maintaining the secrecy of the teachings is extremely important. This is a reason why the consecration and initiation of the student into the tradition is strongly emphasized. Although eventually teachers like Sachen Künga Nyingpo wrote down oral instructions, originally, the important texts were memorized by the students. This tradition continues to the present day, where some oral teachings remain unwritten, known only by lamdré lineage holders.[12]"

Virupa’s Vajra Verses is the root text, you can read more about Lamdre at rigpa wiki:

I'd also recommend going to youtube and simply typing in "sakya lamdre" and watching some videos about it. All the best.
