Knowing or not knowing does form the very base of Buddhism.
Not knowing the Mind is seen as ignorance and the cause for reincarnation , karma etc.
Not knowing Ma Rigpa is not knowing Rigpa or one`s inherent Natural state.
But the first cause of not knowing that is interesting to know, to get a better understanding about the Mind - Nature relation.
The rest of the story we know, namely that we are here and must go back home with some vehicle / method ( Ferrari, Smart etc.)
