hi all,

today i came across this https://youtube.com/watch?v=NOBqMuNZTFE dhamma talk video while browsing on internet and then i watched it and recently if you remember i had posted a thread regarding me feeling meanness, i could have posted this link there, but i think some administrator has put my that thread on sink mode, so when i commented earlier on that thread, then its link did not came up on thread list. so i thought of creating a new thread here, so that more people can see this video. it seems insightful to me.

it talks about Lojong mind training - does somebody has some links on it? please suggest. thanks in advance.

metta to you and all sentient beings.

I personally prefer Chogyam Trungpa's Training the Mind book (which is a guide to Lojong). It is broken down and easier to understand than some other sources for me. As a Sangha, we made lojong slogan cards and practice one per day. I've been doing it for a year now. It is very helpful. You most certainly can spend more time with one if you feel you need to.

I don't have time to view the video right now, but I will try tonight or tomorrow morning to do so!

If you search for a commentary online, it'll better describe each of the slogans.

I loved the talk, there aren't that many people trained in the classic sense who can translate that into terms that westerners can relate to so well, and she does so also in a deep and profound way. I'm glad to see that she has other talks as well.

"Offered here is the pith advice on mind training according to the great vehicle. This is the path followed by all the buddhas and their children of the past, present, and future, the most profound instruction of the oral lineage, and the quintessence of the ocean of all the excellent teachings."
