Definitive and Provisional
I recall hearing that some teachings are provisional and some definitive, but I cannot recall the meaning. I'd say that a definitive teaching is how things are, but a provisional is how they are from a perspective?

Provisional teachings would be subject to change and could vary from perspective to perspective like what "enlightenment" is while definitive teachings would be the fundamentals like the 4NTs.

the definitive is closer to the unstated Absolute.
