Had a lovely day with kids and grandkids plus all the adolescents who treat my house like a youth club!
I wish you a happy birthday. I also wish you the best of everything life has to offer.
Enjoy your special day.

I would have posted yesterday, but the internet access at my house is currently down
I had a lovely day: very quiet! Very unlike the London where I was born in 1943!!!
Yesterday, my son and I spent a long time celebrating HHDL's birthday - just the two of us, but it was wonderful.
You remind me of a mental trick that I sometimes use to shake my attention out of its usual rut. There is an expression that people use when meaning that they are not stupid. They say, "I wasn't born yesterday." In a wonderfully funny book called Thief of Time, Terry Pratchett has a monk who lives by the statement "I wasn't born, yesterday" meaning that this is my first moment and everything I perceive is new and surprising to me.
The old hippy dictum that today is the first day of the rest of our lives and the Christian stuff about new birth make each day a birthday if we only decide it is so!
Once again, thanks!
