We've had a debate going on in here regarding, basically, meat-eating -vs- vegetarianism. I myself, being a omnivore.
Even though I do I eat - I was agreeing about some of the appalling things that take place in regards to "harvesting" animals. I tried to find a couple of places on the internet regarding this that I could show to people - but it seemed like it was always PETA involved or something.
Thank you for posting this link. This was exactly the kind of thing I wanted to share in regards to meat eating - even though I do eat meat.
Actually CreativeHeart, I know where you're coming from... my post (Thread #33 page 4) was also an illustration of what I consider to be some representatives of 'Hell on Earth'. I would opine, IMHO, that your link belongs in the "To meat or not to Meat?" Thread discussing vegetarianism or meat-eating... but it has roots here too, I'll grant you that. I believe the discussion originally had its foundations in the existence of Hell from a human perspective.
And whether BF looks good in his mother's clothing.....

"Why Scaahlet, I do believe you ah taken with me!"
I've already moved on to SuperHero Clothing - you're gonna have to keep up with me.
I love this new cape and Spandex...

federicaSeeker of the clear blue sky...Its better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubtModerator
This is a website that has meet-up groups in local areas. From Animal Rights to Buddhism
let me know how the links work out for you. http://animalrights.meetup.com/
And since I am so link happy, let me share one of my favorites!
Last nights EVP http://www.ghostpix.com/ show on C2C was canceled. It was replaced by "MORE" hurrican coverage and discussion.
However, I do feel bad for those folks. I think we should say a lot of prayers and/or send out some good intentions.
On C2C one time Art did and experiment with "intentions"
He had the audience focus on a hurricane (or some sorta storm, pretty sure it was a hurricane) and the hurricane's course was altered in an unusual way. It scared him to death, he will not mess with it any more. Even though his wife practices witchcraft and it works for her.
Intention is so powerful!
I shall talk about hells in the 3 Abrahamic religions and Buddhism.
In Islam, Hell is a place to purify you of your evils so as to let you go Heaven. Christianity and Judaism... It's rather a place of torture, though. Either way I know that us Buddhists can never make it to either of these heavens, unless you believe in Allah, God, or Yahweh, pick one that ou think is who you will follow.
In Buddhism, hell is simply a realm of torture, not so different from the human realm, but all you see is misery. But you can die there, and rebirth slowly works behind...
OK. So what if the Christian Hell is real? For this, pick one. Be damned or be saved, it's up to you really. Pick Buddhism or Christianity. That's cruel, but it's true because each time you pick one religion, hundreds of religions immediately damm you to hell. So pick one and be damn happy with it. Sorry, but life sucks. OK it rocks, but I'm just taking my ex-teacher's favourite quote.

Art, George, and now Ian.
It's definitely my favorite radio show.
They have some excellent topics and news stories you'll never hear about anywhere else. (Although some are just plain ridiculous. )
