卐 which way do you spin? 卍
(Why do you limit this to Buddhism btw?)
Why only Buddhist?
This is fo' serious bizznizz forum. It's for things you don't want the general public reading. Banter is one door north. ;]
Your post read as a genuine criticism/suggestion - is it not? I don't see how anyone needs to lighten up, but ok; I'll see if TheFound can hook me up.
No, it was not the 'banter' forum, although it has now been moved.
Does not your error and criticism fall into the trap of disobeying your own first post?
Please be considerate....
Telling people that they should 'lighten up' is hardly endearing, is it, huh?
(in a endearing way i assure you!)
We just can't read minds.
If you can't read minds, how do you know he didn't offend anyone?
 <--- your face now that you know I can read your mind.

I'm reminded of the common phrase: "Best not to point a finger, as each time you do there are 100 pointed back at you."
As per the OP: Perhaps the resolution should simply be not to criticize (in a negative, non-constructive manner), period.
Although there is of course a time and place for critical thinking, different from "negative criticism". We each must make decisions every day that affect the course of our own existence; however, there is no need to pass judgment on things or people in a frivolous manner, especially if those subject matters have no impact on our lives whatsoever by simply existing. Each different unique individual life must make choices for themselves, after all, even if we do not agree.
In addition, there are times where constructive criticism is warranted. In the end, when and where this is appropriate is an extension of critical thinking.
Namaste~
D'oh! You're right! How could I miss the outrage and disgust in Simon's three little words: "Why only Buddhist?"
Sorry to speak for you, Simon, and any non-participating passers-by.
