Meditation For Peace

Just when humanity needs to be coming together to work to solve existential threats like climate change, we are seeing the world on the possible verge of a global conflict.
Please share your meditations for peace here if you wish.
Let me begin. To the world and the people in it - MAY YOU BE HAPPY. MAY YOU BE WELL. MAY YOU BE SAFE. MAY YOU BE FREE. 🙏

    May all human beings...
... be safe, well, happy, and free.
... see each other with the eyes of compassion, trust, and mutual understanding.
... see each other fundamentally as one people of human beings.
... learn to resolve their differences with dialogue, compromise, and cooperation.
... abandon the causes of conflict: greed, othering, fear, distrust...
... outgrow - individually and socially - the causes of conflict.
    ... live in peace.

“So you should view this fleeting world—
A star at dawn, a bubble in a stream,
A flash of lightening in a summer cloud,
A flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream”

Some of you may have heard of the hard 'working gal', Tibetans are aways going on about, Emma Ho.

EH MA HO translates as ‘How wonderful'. 'Good' or 'bad'? Once you know this …

    HOW Wonderful!

Fortunately my translations are in that Spirit …

PEACE BE WITH YOU is greeting still used by undertakers/minority in Tibet. As-salamu alaykum.

… traditionally Buddhist-Muslims ground up bodies to feed vultures. Thus not using up precious wood and taking care of the wildlife …

One of the most powerful body based healing meditations is protestations … eh prostrations 🤩

    Meditation For Peace

Meditation on peace, is to look deep within the mind,
Seeking ways to end suffering, and make the inner world more kind.

The peace one finds within, will flow throughout the day,
And when Dukkha rears its head, peace of mind will stay.

If you witness evil deeds, just acknowledge what's been seen,
It won't disturb the inner peace, which permeates life's dream

Sadness may pay a visit, but it never lasts long
It's just a fleeting moment of life's ever changing song

For change is inevitable, everything must pass
And if it's passing too slowly.....give it a swift kick up the arse
    🙏😁🙏

I was encouraged, humbled, and enjoyed watching this video yesterday:

Edit: oops, this was supposed to go in the Israel-Palestine thread. But I guess it fits in nicely here too.
