Hi guys,

My name is Jason and I've been a buddhist for a few years now. Just wanted to say hi.
Sorry I think I posted this in the wrong place.

Look forward to talking to you.

I can just see the confusion in the future, we have a moderator named "Jason" also. :) Anyway, welcome to the forum! We actually have a new member introduction thread in the "Buddhism for Beginners" section for intros (otherwise we'd have a ton of "hi im new hear!" threads). ;)

I am happy that you are welcoming new members.
The tread I saw before has suggested that increase of numbers was not welcome here.

At least I feel I am less trespassing here.

There's no problem with new members, each one is welcome! The only potential problem would be a forced or "artificial" boom in membership, putting undue load on the forum and the staff (such as advertising the forum... which we don't need to do, we get plenty of newbies!).

The suggestion we had on the other thread was basically to do this, to funnel more people purposely to the site. We're already getting many more new members than half a year ago. :)
  • Welcome :)
