I'm looking for people to sign my petition to make a law banning gravity, any takers?

But seriously, its not all that shocking, not like it will really be any different than the status quo.

Person I'll sign it. All this stupid gravity is annoying.

I tried to track this back on Google and as far as I can see, it has been around since August of 2007. Of course the rich idiocy -- and the fear that nourishes it -- is good in any year
  • I didn't watch the vid but I assume it's a prank right ?? :P

No, it's not a prank. China has been trying to regulate reincarnation for years. lol I'm not quite sure how they expect to enforce this law...

But this completely contradicts their official statement released in March, one week after HHDL expressed the possibility that he would appoint a successor (as spiritual leader of the Tibetan people) rather than reincarnate. The Chinese issued a statement saying he "MUST observe tradition, we will force him to reincarnate!" So...I guess some people would be above the proposed law. rolleyes:

I think you need to pay attention a nit more to the video. It's not that China is banning reincarnation, it's that China is banning unregulated reincarnation.

It's perfectly in line with their plan to pick their own Dalai Lama successor when the current one dies.

"Unregulated reincarnation" -- the idea that someone could "regulate reincarnation" boggles the mind. And the fact that a government, even the most confused and puerile one, would be a party to such a notion is ... wow!
  • Well I heard that Canada and Sweden have legalized "unregulated reincarnation".
    :P
  • I just wonder how they figure they're going to enforce this.

    OK Thanks, @Takuan
  • Well, that's a bit stupid.

^^ probably they are going to force some people to meditate and forbid others from doing so, that way people will be reborn exactly where the Chinese want them to, no?

And no way i will let you guys take over with your petition! i can hardly catch my dog in 2 dimensions, and trying to do so when he's floating off to space somewhere would be impossible just to think of it...

But i do have a better idea, why don't we regulate the number 234623? Didn't this one appear just damn fishy to any of you up to now? I mean, let 234622 be a natural number, dividable by 2 and all that, but 234623 to be just so completely unregulated so it can freely change form to binary and back and have all the natural number privileges???! And to make matters worse people are even allowed to add this horrible number to other numbers! outrageous!!!!

Thanx, dorje. I actually didn't view the video prior to posting. You're right. But someone said this came up years before HHDL said he might not reincarnate. Maybe they had the Panchen Lama in mind, as well.

Apparently the irony of a Communist gov't regulating reincarnation by law escapes the Chinese.
