A lady I once worked for said the following:
"You can decide you want to change something in your life and just wake up the next day and do it" and I really like the simplicity of that. Sometimes it isn't that simple. But, I do think that a lot that we carry around with us is a burden when we can just 'let it go', 'stop doing something', or 'start doing something' without actually needing to over analyse and ruminate.
That line has always stayed with me for some reason.
  • "with the roar of engines and thunder of guns, we rip each day from life's teeth. "
Pretty much an antithesis of how I seek to live. It's a quote from a video game. Reminds me of how humanity as a whole kinda brute-forces their way through life when it's much easier to just let it be.

thou canst not then be false to any man."
    (Shakespeare's 'Hamlet', Polonius.)
  • "All will be known in due time"
I'm not sure who said it but it shows that eventually all of lifes answers will be told at some point so there's no reason to worry about them now.
  • "In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure."

I don't know of any comic book, but an American Soto Zen monk Brad Warner wrote a book titled 'Sit Down and Shut Up', which has a rather comic book looking cover of Hotei (I presume) all punked out (mohawk, piercings, tattoos) and riding piggy-back on Godzilla.
