Nice article. Business and money run the world so if this idea could catch on it would be very transformative.

"A business has to have a profit to be sustaining,” Susan says. “What you do with the profit is the key ... Most economies are based on illness and war and profits for a few. This is because most [businesses] have lost their connection to human beings and to the Earth. But you can’t treat the Earth as if it’s a machine. It is a living, growing thing. You can’t take the spiritual part out of it.”

The problem with money is that it leads to selfishness. Do you really big corporations like Bank of America or Walmart cares if they cut health insurance from employees benefits which leaders to more suffering? No. Why? Big corporations only focus on profits and a select few people. If cutting health insurance brings in more profits and bonuses. They will do it.
  • I bet shareholders via a grassroots movement could potentially take over the business. Just organize the shareholders and then vote for your candidates. Of course there exists greed amongst the shareholders though.

Yet that requires money. Which most people don't have. Who here can raise a nearly a billion of dollars to buy enough shares to take an majority of an company to get change?

Big corp has proven that they will do anything for profits.
Drug companies hid the fact that some drugs can cause death
until they were forced to reveal it.
Cigarette companies fought tooth n nail to prevent data
showing link to lung cancer from reaching the public.
its ironic bcos corp are supposed to serve the interests
of shareholders who are made of of members of the public.
  • Maybe Warren Buffet can take over a few companies haha!
  • Good karma of charitable generosity and loving kindness to the society will enjoy good business. :D

If you look at the stock date. Most company stocks are own by individuals or other companies and what is left is own by the public by 401ks.
