Is it bad to send an e card to a friend or a family.
I am new to Buddhism and recently sent an e card to a friend of mine who also happened to be a Buddhist. However he did not like it. Upon questioning he never game me a clear answer. Please advise if it is ok to send an e card or is it against the tradition!
Thanks

A card is generally a display of some emotion towards another, generally positive. A kind gesture such as that would definately be promoted in Buddhism.
Was it the content he was objecting to? A kind gift is one thing, if it was a pornographic card or some other type of offensive material, either in general or specific to this one person, then Buddhism would likely say to be considerate of the disposition of the other person.
If neither of these is the case is it like @Jeffrey says and you are upset about the rejection? There are teachings on the eight worldly concerns that may help.
