    nice article,

i would have title it differently tho,

maybe something along the line of "money problems sometimes just hide the real problems"

Nice article. Buddhism can be said to have two wings compassion and wisdom. In order to really fly you need both.
Years ago, in India, a monk warned me, "Never give anyone more than they are emotionally capable of receiving, or they will have no choice but to hate you for it."
    Good advice.

"If I give this, what will be left for me?"
Thinking of oneself - the way of evil ghosts
"If I keep this, what will be left to give?"
Concern for others is the way of heaven

  • Nice link, as with many life situatuions that teaching which often comes up springs to mind, middle way. Examining the act of giving, that can even be something negative on oneself, that is quite an insight to come across.

    Thank you!:) I enjoy these!
  • I was always told that if you choose to give, to do it in secret. Even with friends.
  • If a person gives too much and regret later, it defeats the purpose of giving.
If a person gives too much and starves him/herself along the way, it defeats the purpose of giving.
if a person gives and expects something in return, it defeats the purpose of giving.
