Hmm, well I know that post is very broad as it only says 'asians', but they are not all the same and cannot be packaged into a box. So I don't quite understand the intention behind that post, but that is just me lol
I watch a Chinese movie maybe 6-8 years back. In this movie, a 45+ lady wanted to look younger because her husband was cheating on her with a younger woman.
so this lady was going to meet some other lady who was preparing human feotus dumpling for her... I thought this was a kind of fictionnal existancial movie, exploring the questions: "how far are we willing to go to look younger, fight death". I guess it wasn't fictionnal after all. And i guess this has really been going on!
I couldn't eat those transparent dumplings at restaurants for many years because of this... and i thought it was fictionnal..
Anyway south korea is well know for their anti-aging creams and their plastic surgeries, growth hormones are everywhere in creams over there. so much so that japanese and chinese often go to south korea to get those.
If you are willing to eat pills coming from China, you are willing to do anything! The demand is very strong for sure.
I wonder how far spread are those pills, they must be very wide spread in china, but i know the crave for anti-aging is very strong in japan as well so if s-korea has them, japan probably has them too.
Wounder if some sick trips to china are taking place for people wanting the real stuff from the source...
Thailand (which being in SE Asia is quite different from China etc), is very obsessed on looks. Being a buddhist country I was shocked at how shallow most people are. Everyone wants to be white, there are whitening creams everywhere. People get jobs if they are younger etc.
My pills come from pakistan lol, but I trust them as they work. And sorry @sabre that is just my ignorance at that guy. Is he the one who thinks about the egyptians etc?
But still, the main article if fucked up, yes I used that word because it is, read it if you have not already.

@patbb That movie is called "Dumplings", obviously a horror film about how far people would actually go for youth. I actually really liked it.
Tibetans sell the powdered remains of cremated lamas as a medicine, I'm told by people who have lived in Dharamsala.

There is a practice in the west where women dry the placenta from their child's birth and put them in capsules to eat over the next few months to help replenish lost nutrients. So the idea isn't too far from home, though eating someone else's fetus, WTF!?
I hear human liver is nice with some fava beans and a nice chianti.

Why go to such lengths....?
i have a ready-made recipe right here - genuinely!
It didn't go down well - in more ways than one - but there again, animals eat theirs, so....?

Why is it so amusing to me that the husband had 17 helpings? Weird...
