So I today was listening to some classical music and just felt it was great like just magic. anyhow, after awhile I observed my mind was getting distracted by thinking about the next song, you know. I thought It was so good I didn't want it to stop and then I couldn't enjoy it anymore cause I wanted MORE.

so i kind of realized this and tried to just enjoy it in the present, you know? Eventually got the feeling like when you want to just hold something really tight to your chest sort of you know . Hold it so tight you just want, like it so much in a way. and hold it so it cant get away. I know that might sound odd about listening to music, but I really was feeling it, the music

Is this what is meant by grasping brings suffering and attachments lead to suffering? Or is this one of those superfluous, pedantic observations, thoughts of someone who is colloquially best recognized as an "idiot"? ...just kidding, but seriously.

    yes.

the moment you look at your thoughts or be aware of them (instead of thinking the thoughts) you are meditating, and this is a common observation done in meditation.
