The teachings are from Padmasambava or Guru Rinpoche(prophetized by Buddha) who brought Buddhism into Tibet.

    I didn't see any teachings about tobacco there but if you are talking about the supposed demonic origins of tobacco in asia that another member here has posted I think the actual historical timeline refutes those claims. Though thats not to say any teaching about the detriments of tobacco use don't have merit.
