Neuroscientist has stroke and describes the experience
http://www.ted.com/talks/jill_bolte_taylor_s_powerful_stroke_of_insight.html“I realized, ‘Oh my gosh! I’m having a stroke! I’m having a stroke!’ The next thing my brain says to me is, ‘Wow! This is so cool! How many brain scientists have the opportunity to study their own brain from the inside out?’”
“I am the life-force power of the universe. I am the life-force power of the 50 trillion beautiful molecular geniuses that make up my form, at one with all that is.”
Definitely worth a watch.

oops
I have not read the book, so I dont know about
his/her assertion there, BUT, the video, I can see what he
is referring to. I had a 'brain issue' last year (neurologically)
and when she was describing her 'thoughts', I thought...
"Yep, I remember thinking all those things."
In that order, to boot!
I tell people that I 'saw' the thought trying
to make it to the body parts, but I also saw
it not "reaching" the destination.
My thoughts were based on my book knowledge of
the brain. I knew that at the time. My intellect was obviously
attached and still working/processing. The thoughts were created
because the thought itself is a bi-product of the form/physical/brain.
Her back and forth described a materialism.
Maybe he and I are using the wrong word....
I'll reflect on it some more.....
