I Like the video. Agree with the vast majority of it. We DO waste way too much time being entertained by celebrities, sports, TV, and the personal tragedies and triumphs of 'famous' people's lives.... We DO waste too much time competing for the best paying job- even if we hate the work; seeking to own the biggest house in the best neighborhood; the prettiest lawn, the most luxurious car, and measuring our "happiness" according to material possessions and dollars squirreled away in the bank. But we are the sometimes unwilling / unknowing targets of mass media cultural indoctrination -from the time we are infants until our last breath on this Earth. Most of us know that - intellectually, but few of us can or do reject that indoctrination and jump out of the box. It's not easy to do!
That being said, even if it was easy to do, one thing we, as a society, and as individuals in that society, should never turn away from is the injustice in our laws, and our governments. No matter how far removed WE as individuals managed to take ourselves from it all, we should never ignore anyone else's mistreatment by our government or society as a whole. THAT is when we should truly get out and get into everyone else's "business".
