Thank you

Hi all,

Since I do not have a (physical)Sangha available to me anymore I've been going to NB and reading many of the threads and responses daily. I don't post much, as I'm new to buddhist practice and haven't developed many practical things to share. Nonetheless, I am so grateful for this resource. I am sometimes deeply touched, and sometimes my beliefs and approach to practice are shaken up by posts/responses. Sometimes I am humored, and sometimes I can deeply relate.

So, thank you for posting and generally hanging around this site. Your words are quite meaningful to me.

& I hope to be able to contribute more as my practice chugs along! :)

  • Just contribute now! Don't be concerned with making mistakes, asking dumb questions, sounding like an idiot etc. because no-one is going to see you or judge you in that way, rather nurture you and support you and share whatever guidance they feel might be helpful. Your practice will accelerate massively by engaging. I promise you that. :)

Its not that I'm afraid, it's just that I don't have much to contribute(in the way of advice). I'm absorbing and learning at the moment... I don't want to dole out jibber jabber if I can help it. Though I have nothing against asking questions!

Hmm... yes, I can definitely make more of an effort nonetheless.. Thanks!

You don't need to advice. Just share your perspective. You might think your angle is simple or naive, but it might actually be exactly what that person was looking for. The other thing is that many times it's not the words that count but how they are expressed. You might not have supreme wisdom yet, but you might have a very caring, gentle, empathetic manner that greatly enhances the small, simple things you can share, y'know? Of course, in your own time, I just think you'll be surprised at what you discover if you just let go and express yourself.
