Sangha in Windhoek, Namibia?

I am seeking Sangha anywhere in Windhoek - or in fact any part of Namibia. Alternatively, perhaps some suggestions of methods of practice I can continue on my own in the meantime. I have been a Buddhist for a number of years now, connecting with Teachings and Sangha wherever possible. Perhaps the Sangha in this instance, are those passing through my life, and my journey for this time is a solo one ...... a time to digest what I already 'know', to build it strong and not be dependent on external sources .......... time to experience, for myself.

Buddhism is a pretty broad range of possible practices. What form of it has been connecting with you so far?

SGI Africa claims membership in Namibia. The South African site merely mentions Namibia: http://www.sgi-sa.org.za/

Tibetan style, hard to say how stale this link is
https://www.tngcentre.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1320&Itemid=370&lang=en Appears to just be a guy, not so much a whole org- Helmut Gerloff

Independent practice, depends on what sort you're interested in
Nichiren independently: http://www.nichirendaishoninsbuddhism.com/ I like this guys methodology, I like maybe 50% of Nichiren-ism in general.

If you have a particular style of practice in mind, I could provide more specific advice (Zen is different from Nichiren is different from Mindufulness is different from Chinese Buddhism is different from Thai-style Theravada, etc)

Unstructured practice is easy-- cobble together whatever practices speak to you and do them.

I run a Buddhist book club, it was my solution to finding a community of people who were interested in Buddhism, without an institution. (There are plenty where I live, just don't feel like joining at the moment)

    Hello!
Check around and let us know! I would be interested in hearing
about the local Buddhist groups there. :)

    Number of years practicing what?
That would help narrow down your search, of course.

In the meantime....This can be a nice place to
    experience SOME of it... :)

There is nothing stopping you writing to or emailing a favourite sangha (enclose a return envelope and an International Reply Coupon) for advice?
Perhaps you wish to learn meditation?

Hi Kathleen, are you still looking for people to meditate with? My wife and I are interested in setting up an outdoor meditation group focusing on Vipassana.

Sorry, @DAS_NAM , the OP hasn't ever been back since they first posted.
If you joined merely to connect with her, then I'm afraid you're out of luck.

Threads are normally not revived if over a year old... It looks as if the OP has bailed.
