Just heard in the news about a decapitation in France.

Shameful. Barbaric. I sincerely hope the French learn from the recent American killings in Charleston and the response from those effected. When something is this direct and raw, emotions are understandbly high ... Just terrible! :(

I was emotionally shaken up by it - which I didn't expect. My heart goes out to the family of the man killed and all of those injured and who witnessed it :(

I'm sending much metta to France.

It was apparently a part of a somewhat organized series of attacks. :( Thinking about all those in Tunisia, France and Kuwait. So much hurt in our world.

    Just heard about Tunisia. Terrible.

In the seventies a US general was funded to produce the cutting edge ideology of the New Earth Battalion

It was so ahead of its time, that only a crowd sourced flight of idealists giving up their 'extreme ironing' could charter a plane, fly to a troublespot and initiate a free form effort to overcome the dance of hate we inflict on each other ...

I cried when I read about it yesterday, in the news.... How on earth any Free-thinking, honest-to-goodness law-abiding Muslim can throw any light on this with pertinence or relevance to Islam.... Impossible.
Tragic, and just - I have no words.
This was wanton massacre, for no justifiable reason whatsoever.

    What. so. ever.

My friend Jamal says that the proper interpretation of Jihad is to use your words to convince somebody. I was talking to a Muslim guy who was employed as a support worker for his disabled client outside a boozer the other day and he agreed with Jamal. He was of the opposite sect to ISIS and said they wanted to kill him as well.
