The most common obfuscations of the path's teachings is simply from practitioners approaching it's teachings as something that can be possessed.
In the spiritual path I try to pretend I am on, I am probably possessed. Self possessed. 
For that ego self, we very often try to obtain:
- wisdom
- peace
- relief from ups and more usually downs
However what if wisdom, peace and relief is something we give away - for free?
