An interesting index I saw a TED talk about, it measures the amount of good countries do in the world. You can click on a country and see a detailed breakdown of its rating.
We're not making moral judgments about countries. What we mean by a Good Country is something much simpler: it’s a country that contributes to the greater good of humanity. A country that serves the interests of its own people, but without harming - and preferably by advancing - the interests of people in other countries too.

It is interesting education is not included. Education is a major player in
churning out people who are good world citizens rather than good patriotic country citizens. The countries at the top, of course, have excellent education as well. Just surprised it wasn't included. Putting people first is what contributes to a better populace and a better world all around. Those countries exceed in that in almost every way.
I'll watch the video when it's quiet at home.
