Exactly so. Empty!
Oh I iz wikid
What does empty in the Buddhist sense mean? For me it is the clarity of the moment. It could be anything that catches the attention without dwelling in its momentary arrival and passing.
The moment is gone. It never was. It is presence itself ...

Yep. Wisdom! I'm killing it
Gone.........
The present moment is....Now
The only moment that matters, since the past is gone and the future is only a projection, an insubstantial dream yet to arrive.
same old same-old. But completely different...
.... Bliss
Which present moment? The one that just passed or the one that's about to come? If it's right in between them can we sense that moment? And how thin in time is it? Is it the present moment if we don't recognize it as such? Does anything happen in our awareness when we let go of whatever was occupying our attention in the present moment?
The present moment is....every moment
"Every moment is a moment of events and no moment passes by without an event...One can not notice a moment without noticing events taking place in that moment...Therefore, the moment one tries to pay bare attention to is...the present moment..".
... the wind greeting the leaves on the tree
The present moment is... oddly not a phrase that appears much in the Pali Canon.
I found one mention of it on Access to Insight. The monk Samiddhi, after bathing in a hot spring, is visited by a she-deva who tries to seduce him:
Sometimes...The present moment is just an awakening between the past & the future.
Other times, for them smelling of zen, it's simply a harmonization of body and mind.
... all there is.
The past is just memory passing.
The future has not happened yet (even 5 seconds from now has not happened yet).
...is gone.
Blink, and you miss it.
PAY ATTENTION!!
... something that contains that which has been and that which is yet to come.
... fleeting and ever renewing, like the crest of a wave passing over the sea.
... something that lasts forever, there never is anything else.
The present moment is...the meeting place of what is as it is...and within this meeting place..._the past is constantly greeting the present as the present welcomes the future...
Memories & imagination in the forms past events & possible future events persistently make their presence felt in the mind's awareness...and in doing so the mind's eye can lose sight of the fullness/richness/trueness of the moment...by creating a world of make-believe by constantly projecting onto life's screen the illusions....
