Mahayana, bodhicitta without renunciation?

JeffreyJeffrey Veteran
edited May 4 in Buddhism Today

I've had a medication adjustment and finally my mania has crashed. Experiencing fear and shrunken ego/understanding in the presence of people with a bearable unpleasant loss of feeling.

May my shila be free from the stain [of the kleshas],
Completely pure [of any selfish aspiration],
Unbroken [by misconduct]
And faultless [free from the trimandala].

Those seem hard to practice on so to speak for my low self esteem, particularly the last one (for me).

I will be practicing shortly dedicating you merit ('because you are worth it' as bodhi lo-real used to say) along with those suffering.

I'll do the same in the ways I know how.
