Oh, to feel for even a second without it
But life without death is just impossible
Oh, to realize something is ending within us
Feeling yourself disintegrate
Very buddhist I find.

Sleeping is giving in,
no matter what the time is.
Sleeping is giving in,
so lift those heavy eyelids.
People say that you'll die
faster than without water.
But we know it's just a lie,
scare your son, scare your daughter.
People say that your dreams
are the only things that save ya.
Come on baby in our dreams,
we can live on misbehavior.
Every time you close your eyes (Lies, lies!)
Every time you close your eyes (Lies, lies!)
People try and hide the night
underneath the covers.
People try and hide the light
underneath the covers.
Come on hide your lovers
underneath the covers
come on hide your lovers
underneath the covers.
Hidin' from your brothers
underneath the covers,
come on hide your lovers
underneath the covers.
People say that you'll die
faster than without water,
but we know it's just a lie,
scare your son, scare your daughter.
Now here's the sun, it's alright! (Lies, lies!)
Now here's the moon, it's alright! (Lies, lies!)
Every time you close your eyes...
When I was young, my family and I used to vacation in Avalon, NJ. I remember this song always playing every night (along with Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance with Somebody") when we'd go to the boardwalk at Wildwood. It is such classic 80's cheese, but I love the music... t'was the soundtrack of my childhood years. But every time I think of beach houses and boardwalks/carnival rides, this song always comes to mind without fail.
But ah, as for what I'm listening to, this ASOT episode is very energetic. give it a listen, at least 10 minutes. trust me.
(Note: Haven't made it through this song once without crying. Powerful melody.)
You read my mind-- I'm looking for upbeat songs. Right now I'm playing this... it's the jam!:

Koan: "Captain Kirk is climbing the mountain. Why is he climbing the mountain?"
More Canadian music comin' at ya (albeit from a band that ceased to exist about a year ago).
