We find ourselves in a situation wherein we have an amoral sociopath narcissistic who has surrounded himself with both sycophants and other sociopaths and narcissist. We have selfish greedy individuals at every chock point who block actions to curtail his ambitions or protect the people from same.
We also have an obviously sick man in obvious and dangerous (for the country and the world) decline. He is the culmination of over 50 years of deliberate propaganda and concerted actions and mechanization. He may not have been the culmination they envisioned, but he is their tool - the easily malleable idiot who assumes he is in control and listens to the puppet masters and groomers regardless of the real world impact of his (assumed by him) personal decision.
We know, from observation and educated analysis, that he is under constant medical attention and monitoring, that he has received "experimental drugs and procedures". These have, unfortunately, apparently kept him mobile enough, with the deliberate support of the key operatives (advisers, puppeteers, House Speaker, etc.) and talking heads.
Even if he and his entire administration were removed from office today, the damage done will take years to undo, possibly generations in some areas.
Politics aside, while we, individually, may not have a measurable impact, we can still overcome the chaos and surrounding us, each changing our immediate environment through individual actions and decisions. Cumulatively, we change the world for the better.
Peace to all
I was sitting on the couch in my living room, when there was a sudden flutter of wings outside, a loud doing sound from the upstairs window, a cloud of grey and white feathers and a bird collapsing to the Earth. It twitched a few times and lay still. It was a pigeon. My mother and I approached it with a cardboard box after a few minutes, wearing latex gloves. The body was limp and surprisingly warm to the touch…
It’s a silly thing for a grown pigeon to fly into a window at full tilt and break its neck, but it happens occasionally around here. Last time it was a sparrow. But it always makes me serious-minded and rather sad, when any harmless animal loses it’s life due to an accident. A polar bear lives as a predator and deserves less pity, but say a deer or a monkey I feel sad about. So too a pigeon.
It’s a reminder that death is never far away. Our bodies are fragile, the causes of death are many, and death is inevitable…

Beneficial acts when done with "intent" indicates a self-other mindset. The act, though prima facia beneficial, is often more ego, "I am doing a beneficial act because I want the reward from the act." It is a act of selfishness in the guise of a beneficial act.
A Beneficial act performed without expectation of reward, the selfless act, is the act generating true reward, the reward neither sought nor expected.
It will be interesting to see how some of the crew here reflect and or expand upon this.
Peace to all
Thus have I heard...
"Wherever self is, virtue cannot exist"
So when it comes to carrying out a beneficial act .... just do it and be done with it before the self-generating ego gets wind of it and puts a spanner in the works, that is, depleting the merits/karma which may come from performing such an act.
In a nutshell : Just do it because you are in a position to do so without any expectations.
