for meditation (and in general), I prefer lotus, lavender and sandalwood.

Still experimenting but atm I like sandalwood, nag champa, and I tried a new one I liked that was called rose or something flowery. The shop I buy mine at has incense in bulk sticks, they have cola and brownie that smell amazingly realistic.

I like Gozan/Five Hills. It's a little potent in a small space, but it's quality stuff.
  • Sandalwood is good. I like juniper incense.
  • sandalwood, bergamot, bacon, coffee, toast

nag champa. you know, i remember when i first discovered the scent. i was about 14, in a small shop downtown. i instantly took a liking to it and now, all these years later, it is still my favorite and the only incense i keep a constant supply of. :)
  • recently, I tried Krishna Musk... it is nice, but don't know what it is composed of (AFAIK it is a "propietary fragrance").

I am definitely an incense addict! I love the smell so I keep sticks burning day and night. Right now I have been really into the Dhoop incense line. I especially like Vajrapani, Medicine Buddha, Ganden, and Lawudo. Actually I like all the different Dhoop scents, they are really great!

Some other favorite brands are Anna's Incense and Fred Soll. Awesome :)

@Jeffrey Who makes your orange incense? I bought some last time but its not very appealing and it smells nothing like orange.

@person I know your comment was directed to @Jeffrey, but I just wanted to jump in and say that Anna's makes an amazing orange blossom incense. It is so good!

Wellington Fragrance, person. Its actually orange bud I think?? No I had to look at my bottle, because I knew it was not from Wellington, but Wellington also makes good fragrances.

So its not wellignton it is New Directions, orange bitter. http://www.newdirectionsaromatics.com/orange-bitter-essential-oil-p-314.html

I actually use essential oils and a votive candle under an aroma lamp which the lamp is the candle under a removable bowl of water.

The fragrence I like of orange is their orange bitter. Made by 'new directions' fragrances. My favorite is jasmine from wellington. And I have always loved peppermint and vanilla from winter cookies. But I have noticed the orange fragrance in particular on sleepy mornings. They also have a clove bud fragrance which is kind of a tantalizing not heady but exotic pungent aroma.

I like vanilla for scented candles... and use lotus essential oil as perfume.
