I went to the Reason Rally. Did any of you guys go? Did any of you guys hear about it?
It was a fun, but slightly soggy event.

Sounds like fun.
Lots of Christians were handing out propaganda. I got handed a Christian pamphlet, a Christian "The Good Test" card, and a Pro-Life propaganda movie called "180" or something.
Lots of people gave out quite inspirational speeches. The singers and comedians were fun. I got to see sarcophagi at the Natural History Museum. I got to be part of history.
There were some interesting folks there. I saw Waldo, a guy dressed as batman, Jesus riding a raptor, and loads of other people. Everyone was friendly. None of my stuff got stolen, even when I left it all it out in the open for 2 hours.
I actually sat behind the guy who filmed this. He had a very small conversation with us and he asked me to watch his equipment for a minute while he went and did something.
1) Gotten a better spot. We were far off to the side and back. I could see the stage if I stood up, but barely. I mainly watched things on the screen - and since it was only on a screen, I could have had the same experience just buying the DVD.
2) I wish it didn't rain and wasn't so cold. I could have stayed for the entire concert at the end if that happened, and I wouldn't have been so preoccupied with not freezing that I actually could have paid more attention to the whole thing.
My SO's mother also wanted to come along, so we allowed her (even though she's a moderate Christian). We had to explain to her everything that was said. I wish I wouldn't have had to do that, as it was a huge distraction - although, I think the experience kind of opened her eyes to the injustice in politics and society that is caused by religious fundamentalism. Perhaps now she'll be more accepting of her daughter's atheism.
But hey, I didn't expect myself to be able to go at all. Better have been able to go then not at all! Maybe they'll have another one in the coming years where conditions will be a bit more suitable.
