Do you think I am too young to be on this site.
I am a 13 year old school boy from The UK who has converted to Buddhism about 4 months ago and I see most people here are like 35, do you think this website is too old for me?

Seriously though, I don't know if Newbuddhist.com has any minimum age restrictions...
Anyone know?
I'm from the UK too; a Geordie living in Wales!
Welcome to the forum.
Tosh
you are making me jealous.
FYI, many yrs ago a 16 yr old english boy became a buddhist.
now, he one of the most well-known and respected monk in the world.
You're not the youngest to be here. We had a member who was 11 or 12 when he joined. Also from the UK. Age is irrelevant.
Yoga eh? I did some yoga on the wii (an ancient form of game playing device before mobiles) this morning. It made the meditation afterwards very easy.
They teach Buddhism at school now . . . how things have changed. We had Religious Education, which was about some bloke executed for pretending his dad was God. He was not the messiah, he was a very naughty boy . . .
Good luck with your third book, you seem to have surpassed me already . . .
And well done for finding an interest that goes beyond X box and football (though those are fun too).
I'm sure education varies widely. One school....I can't recall where had parents who threw a fit and tried to remove their children from a class because it taught yoga and they said yoga is a "gateway to eastern religions" and they don't want that. Never mind the benefits of yoga and that you can practice without religion. I lol'd at the idea that yoga is a gateway religion though. Our town just recently stopped having kids leave for religious instruction at their church during the school day. Kids would go for an hour every Wednesday afternoon to their church to attend religious instruction. I didn't have to go, so we got to stay in school and have parties instead, which was much more fun.
@TheEccentric, enjoy your study. Sometimes it gets overwhelming, but keep with it, and it's ok to tone it down if you need to. It always comes back.
In general terms, to the British, yoga is another form of keep fit, like Zumba.
