I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed here and
I get the whole "trying to sound smart" thing...but is
incorrect spelling the same thing as using the wrong
word? Or not making sense?
For example...some words in that are spelled wrong...but
do fit the sentence....like the end of the second sentence
with the word diffeRent.....
BTW...I do get that this is funny...it is...
...I'm just a notorious bad speller.....
There are great spellers here....and I still have no idea
of what they are trying to get across...hahaha
Edit: Well, hold the damn phones...I opened another
tab, and diffident is a word. I never heard/knew it.
Guess I'm not 'shy and timid'...lolololol
Sounds alot like dividend....( I know what that is, hahaha)
My question still stands though.....
And yes, along with spelling.....apparently my vocab
is lacking...lololol What's the opposite of this coin?
I think I'm making myself sound more dumb...lolololol
"You mean a faux pas?"
Hee Hee...
It's also called malapropism, after a character (Mrs Malaprop) in a Sheridan play.
Some examples here.
At least I've never called lobster our crushed Asian instead of
our crustacean... lolololol
This morning I had a huge vowel movement.
