A few on this forum have mentioned their love of art Jeffrey, Dandelion, EvenThird I love to see peoples creative side so please share your work. I had a wall in my garden that I couldn't grow flowers on so I decided to attempt a mosaic, I went to building companies and asked if I could raid their skips for broken tiles, put up a post on faceache for friends to donate their old tiles/mirrors... it cost about £60 for tile adhesive and grout and was a very therapeutic pastime... until I had to grout it ! (its still a work in progress)

Oh my gawd, Jae that is beautiful!! Holy cow! I am so impressed! I'll bet when you look outside at this you are amazed at yourSELF lol!

I've done (much) smaller mosaics, and have an idea of the work they take. The hardest part for me was always STARTING, what about you? Finishing it wasn't so bad, but getting the bucket of grout and glue and all the pieces ready . . . it's like a scary point of no return. I still have all of my mosaic bits and pieces but have been obsessed with spinning yarn for the last couple of years. My poor grout is probably a solid rock due to the humidity around here.

I don't even take photos anymore unless its commercial/work stuff(near ancient, before I was photographing jewelry..) HOPEFULLY I will have a portfolio of my drawings & tattoos up this year.

(PS. I'm willing to upload some modeling pics if anyone thinks that is creative/would be interested. Honestly, it seems like a terrible display of vanity since the photographer is the creative one during a shoot...)

Some of my sons he's 19 at college of further education hoping to get to uni in a few years (he's dyslexic so its taking him a while to get the appropriate grades to get in as his school grades were poor) the first four using an art tablet the last in pencil....

What about up cycling anyone enjoy doing this? We live in such a disposable society it seems wrong not...here are a few examples of things I've found dumped or been given and transformed...

An old toy box using cut up magazine pics and PVA glue...

Redecorating my sons room and needed some accessories ...old 70's coffee table found at a recycle site finished with dayglo paint...the coffee table you can see my son sawing up came from when my partner worked for a removals company, when they clear goods from storage warehouses when bills have been unpaid they are meant to dump the goods....its criminal (can't even give it to charity shops!)... one piece found its way to my place for a 'revamp' and resize then the finished results put together to transform his bedroom...

That is quite strange how you always dream in hues of blue lol. If I have some time today I will have a play around with them and post them back up with a new sense of blue! By the way that table you made looks really cool, I would love to do hands on self made project like that, I guess if I really went out of my way I could get the resources.. good job though
