I am not certain about labelling it a path, but music has always soothed me. Now, I am not referring to mainstream pop, rock, or other such genres, but raw music. I like to start recording in my studio, then just close my eyes and play, creating several free, unscripted layers, with no lyrics. I let my emotions dictate what comes out. Often, I can go back and see where I was feeling at peace or aggressive or apprehensive. I find music very useful in that it can often convey things one can not easily put into words.

The other day, I noticed that the local senior center had a get-together/discussion group whose focus was on "wisdom." The only question I had for what I assumed would be a number of white-haired participants rife with "wisdom" was, "What is it that you imagine does not embrace or enfold or entail something called "wisdom"?" At a certain age, the dividing lines tend to blur.

    Samsara really is Nibanna ...

Older and wiser or second child hood? I often wonder when the rise of 'the elders' (Hinayana aka Theravadin) will involve a little less institutionalised wisdom and a little more Maha-mayhem ...

    Long live the third turning!
