How many sentient beings in your social distancing bubble?
Well no doubt most of us have heard of the term 'isolation/social distancing bubble'
In my bubble there's me along with all the other selves that call me home
How many people (including family animal companions) living in your bubble ?

I provide an essential service (Behavioural Interventionist - I care for clients in their homes) so my bubble is nowhere near as small as I would like it to be. I work in homes with 1 client and one other staff at any given time. I work 24 hour shifts and we practice social distancing with our clients as best we can.
At home, it's just me and the Girlfriend and her daughter (5) and a 90lb Black lab and 2 cats. She works from home and home schools her daughter. I haven't had my son stay with us since the social distancing started and won't until it lifts. We text and call for now. It really sucks but what do you do.
Good on you @johnathan I admire your dedication and commitment ....
I work/volunteer for two essential services, one of which I can work from home on the laptop...
My other work involves helping people in financial difficulties, we also run the local foodbank which is an essential service, however , I along with the other staff have been advised to stay at home( in my case it's due to my respiratory condition) ...which just leaves the manager to handle the calls and deliveries if clients can't come i to pick food up, fortunately some of the other staff (younger & fitter) are on call to help out if need be...
Just Mrs Walker and Smokey our cat at home with me.
Mrs Walker is still working. She's been home since Friday. Going back tomorrow night starting 4 twelve hour night shifts.
My brother had to lay me off for now. Hopefully there will be people willing to spend money on home renovations when this eventually blows over. Might be a slow summer even if the pandemic situation improves by then
I've been staying in as much as possible as I am on a biological immunosuppressant.
We've been in touch with extended family by text phone and email and everyone seems to be doing ok. So far
@Walker, yes it's good to stay in touch with family and friends, my children are scattered all over Europe ...my three sons in Hungary, Germany, London and my daughter live in the bottom of the north island Wellington...We are all in touch daily.... Does your wife work in the medical profession ?
No. Rail services at an oil refinery
An essential service ...You and your family stay safe....
Thanks @Shoshin. Same to you
Everyone
Are you saying that people give you a wide berth
Too many. My husband and three children are all at home. The eldest works for a supermarket most days, the other two are homeschooling, my husband and I are working from home.
I will either end up divorced or on manslaughter charges π
I am lucky enough to be home alone 4 days a week then have the kids 3 days a week (7 and 10 years old).
I had a visitor from Thailand for a few months (girlfriend? It's complicated....) but thankfully she left a couple of weeks ago before they stopped international travel.
I am cherishing the time alone.......
Myself, my Wife and a gentle cat.
I work 3 days per week for the National Trust, but Iβm not working at the moment, due to the NTβs closure. I also volunteer on the board of a few charities and we are using Zoom conferencing to continue to operate.
Only leaving the house for supplies and the occasional stroll. Just making sure that we enjoy nature in the garden and some fresh air.
me, my man-child and my mother-child (she's 88... They revert...) Mother lives a short distance away but relies on me to do her shopping for her... My man-child relies on me for.... well, everything basically....
Not-self, not-self, not-self... or in conventional terms: me and my partner, my sister and her partner, my brother, and my mum and dad. And two cats and a dog. When the lockdown was threatening, we kind of huddled together as a family. Itβs nice, but the washing up can be extensive...
Me, my mother and stepfather... they are older and in vulnerable groups due to their health. I work from home mostly via whatsapp.
Family at home, everybody on the bus and my co-workers.
Yay.
Me and my partner Michelle. I volunteer for tutoring chemistry but I had a relapse of symptoms of Schizoaffective disorder in the fall school year. I'm recovered and hopefully will be back next fall. I also volunteer occasionally at a place that is a non-profit for keeping homes safe (lead, allergens, fire, carbon monoxide, etc) where I do data entry and put together mailing or other packets of info but their office is closed as non-essential. I want to find a closer volunteering job and I'm going to volunteer to do gardening at our local (and in my opinion cities coolest attraction) sculpture and gardens area. Me and Michelle get along well together. She is more hopeful, fun loving, and energetic and I figure out cautious ideas to protect our risk and I'm usually calm except when anxious. Also I'm getting groceries for and taking walks with my Mom but she's trying to reduce her risk as much as possible so usually just outdoors with her.
Some great posts ππ½ππ
The world really is a good place, with good people.
Iz plan. Always.
Wow reading these posts has shown me - whilst I commented above tongue-in-cheek - how lucky and slightly ungrateful I am. Mind you, I've taken @Bunks advice and started doing Metta meditation. After a few days, I've woken up with a different view this morning (not a massive paradigm shift, but a good start, IMO.
Lost count.
