Gratitude gatha

VastmindVastmind Memphis, TN Veteran

A gatha by the late, Jion Susan Postal

For all beneficent karma, ever manifested through me, I am grateful.
May this gratitude be expressed through my body, speech, and mind.
With infinite kindness to the past,
Infinite service to the present,
Infinite responsibility to the future.

Nice gatha @vastmind ... a little search on Jion Susan Postal only turned up the circumstances of her death in 2014 and that she had been the resident priest at the Empty Hand Zen Center. Here she is:

  • Gāthā is a Sanskrit term for "song" or "verse"

according to the 20 years old today, knowledge singing, Wikipedia.

    Happy Birthday. Virtual cake. Yum.

When wakeful at two in the morning
    I vow with all beings
to light incense and sit on my cushion-
it’s time that I really wake up.

  • Canz we sing our own gatha ring?

    Hither thither
    still movement
    Leave the Never-Mind
    For ever-mined
three jewels sing in the forests
    like leaves collecting suns
