    Jeffrey,

    Liberation. Beyond Knowing. Beyond Tears.

I really like that…it is quite excellent. I nominate it for “best to show.”

    : ^ )

    Warm Regards,

    Jeffrey,

J: I stole it from a former mentor who had practiced buddhism seriously for years.

S9: It takes a wise man to know what words are worth stealing. People have told me I am a "Wise Guy," or was it a "Wise Ass?" Well, it was one of those. So now I, too, will steal your mentors fine words. ; ^ )

But now that you have fessed up, you will have to share the prize money. : ^ (

    Smiles coming your way,

    How about:
    Even genocides can become enlightened?
  • edited April 2010
    Simon,

    You made a great point. ; ^ )

    Enlightenment isn’t synonymous with Sainthood.

    Or:

    Moral values morph into vanity.

    Or:

    Enlightenment isn’t for the chosen.

    And:

    There is so much confusion.

    Or how about:

    Ego self is a trickster.

    Okay, I’ll knock it off.

    Smiles,

Then maybe its time to switch out the orange with a new one.... they only last so long without molding you know :)

I truthfully think "Okay, I’ll knock it off." has a funny and deep resonance with Buddha's teachings.

    With warmth,

    AMat,

AM: I truthfully think "Okay, I’ll knock it off." has a funny and deep resonance with Buddha's teachings.

S9: Yes, so do I…I was hoping that you were taking it that way. : ^ )

Now only wisdom mind can point off what to actually, “knock off.”

And what to let simply takes its own course naturally, without continuing to identify with it. As in “sitting beside the river.”

Obviously, Buddha didn’t just stop thinking altogether, or he couldn’t answer people’s questions.

He also continued to ‘know of’ his ego self; Gautama as Gautama, and didn’t simply forget that fact, as that tool (ego) is a necessary part of dealing effectively within this dream world.

Soooo…knock off what is unnecessary, and can only cause suffering.

    Nice talking with you. : ^ )

    Friendly regards,
    S9

    Simon,

    Wake up! Smell the flowers.

If you mean those words in the way of which I am taking them…Great.

    Wake up to already Awake.

    Nothing is gained with Enlightenment.

    Nothing is lost with Enlightenment.

    Perspective is the whole ballgame.

    Oh, don’t get me start. ; ^ )

    Smiles,

AM: "Somebody's home and nobody's home"

    S9 Quite so!

    You cannot leave Ultimate Home.

    What is outside of Oneness?

Wherever I go, I’m there. (Borrowed from a book title)

    Everyone is already a Buddha.

    'Buddha-Nature' is not a place.

    'Buddha-Nature' is not a thing.

    'Buddha-Nature' is a clear perspective.

    'Buddha-Nature' "IS" who you are.

    Throw away all...but 'Buddha-Nature.'
