One of the kindest(?) sentiments of well wishing I have come across, may these blessings rain down upon us.
From time to time in the years to come, I hope you will be treated unfairly, so that you will come to know the value of justice. I hope that you will suffer betrayal because that will teach you the importance of loyalty. Sorry to say, but I hope you will be lonely from time to time so that you don’t take friends for granted. I wish you bad luck, again, from time to time so that you will be conscious of the role of chance in life and understand that your success is not completely deserved and that the failure of others is not completely deserved either. And when you lose, as you will from time to time, I hope every now and then, your opponent will gloat over your failure. It is a way for you to understand the importance of sportsmanship. I hope you’ll be ignored so you know the importance of listening to others, and I hope you will have just enough pain to learn compassion. Whether I wish these things or not, they’re going to happen. And whether you benefit from them or not will depend upon your ability to see the message in your misfortunes.

May you be at peace.
May your heart remain open.
May you realize the beauty of your own true nature.
May you be healed.
May you be a source of healing for this world.
May I be well, happy, and peaceful.
May my teachers be well, happy, and peaceful.
May my parents be well, happy, and peaceful.
May my relatives be well, happy, and peaceful.
May my friends be well, happy, and peaceful.
May the indifferent persons be well, happy, and peaceful.
May the unfriendly persons be well, happy, and peaceful.
May all meditators be well, happy, and peaceful.
May all beings be well, happy, and peaceful.

I came across this when the thread inspired me to go read more Buddhist blessings, and thought it was worth reposting here. Funny how searching for ‘Buddhist blessings’ takes you first to a series of wedding blessings...
May all living beings have happiness and the causes of happiness;
May all living beings be free from misery and the causes of misery;
May all living beings never be separated from happiness, devoid of misery;
May all living beings abide in equanimity free from prejudicial attachments and aversions.

Not exactly a blessing but this is one of the dedication prayers I say at the end of my practice. Its a slightly modified version of a Tibetan prayer.
Through this virtue, may I free my mind from anger, craving and delusion
So that I may be of benefit to beings
Using whatever I have realized of the points of the path
May I dispel the mental darkness of beings
Through powerful love and honest skillful means
May I long uphold the Victor's doctrine
In any place the precious teachings have not reached
Or where they have since declined
May I, moved by great compassion
Shed light upon these beneficial treasures
Through the merits of the practice
May the minds of liberation seekers be enriched
And the Victor's deeds long be enriched
May all be conducive for practicing the wholesome path
May the unconducive be dispelled
May all beings not be cut off
From the pure path praised by the Victors
And may an ocean of auspiciousness pervade all directions.
Lead me from Death to Life,
from falsehood to truth.
Lead me from despair to hope,
From fear to trust.
Lead me from hate to love,
from war to peace.
Let peace fill our heart, our world,
Our universe.
to live
to possess life
to be grateful
To have the opportunity to bring happiness to others
to know I have done my best
for you to know you have done your best
that is all the blessing we need
Speaking from within my sphere of experience:
Without the blessing of the teacher there cannot be any realization and no progress on the path. Only if I vanish his blessing yields fruits.

So you're saying those without a teacher are never going to make progress? From within your sphere of experience?....

Objective/subjective... an observation from within one's own sphere of experience is always a comment from within a bubble. Other things happen outside the bubble, but we are untouched by them.... we see them, but are separate.
This doesn't make them untrue, unreal, imaginary or wrong.
It just makes them apart from our sphere.
But they are just as true, real, solid and right to others, as our observations are to us.
The trick is to not dismiss them and/or discount them as invalid...
Such solid entrenched views make a wall of the bubble's boundaries and reduce our viewpoint to a single speck.

From within my sphere of experience to express it appropriately would be thus: there isn't a being anywhere that doesn't have the teacher. However having the teacher is not the same as receiving the blessing of the teacher without which there cannot be any realization and no progress on the path.

Unskilful.
If you think that your categories are independent of a bubble then that's the bubble.
When I say 'Speaking from within my sphere of experience: ' that does not mean I would be making claims regarding an alleged reality, it only means that I apply words that appear appropriate in a given context.

Where have I said that?
It is you who seem to indicate that, not I. You're the one who mentioned 'sphere' first....

Then you need to pick your words more carefully, friend.
Or decide whether in fact, Silence would be an apposite aspect of Right Speech.

Is your impression that my words do insult or are unfriendly? I have love for all of you. I am your dharma friend.

Even if you are doing guru yoga and keep samaya with your guru it is still falling off from that to deny that other practices also truly have their fruits.

My sister and boyfriend are in Scotland - holiday, driving around looking for the King in the North. Liam fell and has soft tissue damage. Is in constant pain but probably doing the driving.

Very sorry to hear about Liam. ?
Will ask my Buddhist group to send healing energy. Some are Christians. Most not but good will (metta) is always welcome.
